What is Model United Nations?

Main Article: Model United Nations

Model United Nations is a simulation of the United Nations, and usually other Inter-Governmental Organizations, in which students serve as delegates representing different countries and Non-Governmental Organizations at simulation events called conferences, which are subdivided into decision-making bodies known as committees. Student delegates are generally pre-assigned countries and committees, and conduct research prior to conferences to ascertain the position of their country on topics that the committees will be discussing. The end product of a committee meeting is usually a resolution, which states the official position of the body at large or outlining a specific set of actions to deal with the topic discussed.
